The museum opened its doors this past October 25th 2014, celebrating the anniversary of the artist’s birth. Discover the new and improved Musée Picasso’s remarkable collection in the heart of the Marais.
The Museum hosts the largest collection of works by Pablo Picasso in the world open to the public. The collection is displayed inside the beautiful Hôtel Salé which was renovated for the occasion, located in the heart of the Marais district. This unique collection is composed of 5,000 pieces by the artist, more than 200,000 personal archives, and his own collection of some 150 works (Matisse, Cézanne, Le Douanier Rousseau, etc.).

The Louis Vuitton Foundation is a huge exhibition space with a 400-seat auditorium that opens onto a waterfall, and vaulted glass with views of La Defense and the Eiffel Tower. This great glass cloud, designed by world-famous architect Frank Gehry, the man behind the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, is the perfect new exhibition space for Paris’ contemporary art scene.
